Megan's Mind: I'm sad I'll miss Summer in Portland
This skit is my all time favorite Portlandia clips—it’s the sad truth of living in Portland.
Portland can easily be broken out into two season: the depressing grey and the flirtatious sunny.
Summer is basically your reward for surviving nine months of Portland weather. This year, we put in our time, but upon looking at our itinerary...we won’t get the sunny payoff at the end of the rainbow. These precious few months are every Portlander's play time—we explore, we socialize and we take advantage of every bit of daylight possible.
I feel the most like myself in the summer, and even though we’re going somewhere about 10x as sunny (but 100% more humid, mind you), I’ll miss the Portland summer when our friends come out of hibernation and we bask in the beauty of Rose City flirting with us together.
