The Weekly Traveler is Megan and Tyler's recap of highlights and memorable moments after a full week of traveling around our new home.
Our biggest event this week...we both got a first-hand account of how modern medicine works in Indonesia due to some major food poisoning
--
-
Discovered that contrary to popular hillbilly opinion, not all non-American physicians are witch doctors
-
-
-
Megan had to get herself rehydrated by way of two bags of fluid
--
-
And Tyler got a lousy cup of Indonesian Pedialyte that tasted like the color orange’s jock strap
--
-
So soup has basically been our diet for four days straight…and let me tell you, it's SUPER refreshing in this weather
--
-
In other news, this was the damage done on our patio after we felt a 4.3 earthquake (we're pretty much set for the big one in PDX now)
-
-
-
Found a little waterfall and took a dip
--
-
Checked out a whole bunch of art at a special market
--
-
...especially this art
-
Might’ve accidentally joined a biker (scooter) gang?
--
-
Saw how some folks in small villages deal with trash
--
-
But the week ended on a high note—we volunteered with a local dog protection agency (B.A.W.A.), and Megan got to hold puppies all afternoon
